In this video of Tom Petty playing “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” at the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame induction, he is joined by none other than Prince. Now, ever since Purple Rain came out, I have been a doubter of Prince and his legitimacy. I seem to remember reading that he never played any of the guitar solos on hits like “Let’s Go Crazy” - you know - the one where the video has him gyrating all over the stage while his hands are completely not in-synch with the sounds of the guitar.

Prince seemed to rip off the style of Jimi Hendrix in his 1966-1968 days of psychodelia. I mean come on…Purple Haze and Purple Rain?

This video, however, totally changes my (mis)perception of Prince. He patiently waits his turn to rock out, then does a very good job at it when the time arrives. You can tell he studied Hendrix, and there is nothing wrong with that, as he does a lot of the same body movements and facial expressions. So Prince, I commend you for actually knowing what you are doing to some degree, and I apologize for thinking you are a loser all these years. I still don’t like your music very much, but at least you are not a total hack.

You know, it always seems to boil down to bathroom humor. If all else fails, win the crowd over with a fart joke. The subject is one that no one can deny experience with, and it is always good for a chuckle. And now you know that TheBestofYoutube.com is not above flatulant funnies.

I will forever be in fear now when I have to take out the garbage. The only thing this vintage 1970’s b-movie clip doesn’t have are some well groomed mullets. I guess those didn’t really come of age until the 80’s though, did they?

I definitely like seeing things like this out of context. It makes them that much more WTF-able. I would probably not enjoy this nearly as much if I had to watch the terrible movie that is before and after this clip.

Three guys I work with are hardcore fishers (you know who you are, Travis, Bill, and Lance), so this should at least be funny to them. I don’t fish and found it to be rather hilarious. This guy has some bad luck. I suspected it might be fake until the zoomed in on the snake, and it was real.

This, ladies and germs, is what I call striking gold. I have no idea what these people are saying, much less what language they are speaking. I have no idea what they are doing, wearing, or pretending to be. But it is verrrry ripe with hilarity and WTF-ness. Perfect.
