This Sunday, Brian Urlacher’s mission will be to seek and destroy Peyton Manning. Yet a few months ago the two were hanging together as best buddies (or more) for Mastercard. As AOL Fanhouse blogger mjd puts it - “The interesting part comes at the end where Brian Urlacher gets caught trying to undress Peyton Manning with his eyes. I can’t be sure that’s exactly what’s happening there, but … you know, they’re dudes at a spa, talking a walk on the beach together in robes. There’s something romantic going on.”
Back in early 90s, we wuz all poppin to the weasel. It had it all - funky Peter Gabriel sample, a rapped-fueled fued, a steroptypical white guy rapper, some dude with a walking cane he probably didn’t need and, most of all, Henry Rollins.
The video was the high point of an entertaining rap battle between 3rd Base and Vanilla Ice (Ice baby). Both well define the boundaries of 90s rap as consumed by caucasian teenagers.
Ironically, both MC Search and the weasel star in seperate VH1 reality shows. Search is hosting the laughably-bad “reality” TV show, Ego Trip’s The White Rapper Show. Vanilla Ice is shacking up with Ron Jeremy and Mini-Me in “The Surreal Life: Fame Games.” He also - be still my beating heart! - has an album coming out later this year.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of the release of the first Apple Macintosh computer. The famous “1984″ commercial hyping the event was broadcast during the Super Bowl 23 years ago yesterday. Word has it Bill Gates was seen giggling like a school girl at the mere mention of the “milestone.”
