I thought this was pretty interesting. I never stopped to consider how something so common and mundane was created, but when you find the fancy “cats eye” marbles, it may be likely that someone took the time to make them by hand!

I got to see this guy in 1991 at the International Juggler’s Association festival in St. Louis. He’s pretty much THE best juggler in the world. I know juggling won’t make you that famous, and that hot chicks don’t think it’s very sexy, but it’s fun and great exercise for the body and brain. So don’t knock it until you try it — or can do it!

Yeah, this may be old hat to some of you, but I just saw it for the first time and was reminded exactly why I support Barack Obama. This is what it is all about. This is what sets him apart from any presidential candidate in my lifetime. Inspiring hope in people is a very rare ability that you are lucky to find in any politician.

This story details more about this amazing video, but the video itself is pretty darn incredible. In short, lion cub is rescued and raised, then set free in Africa. The humans set out to find the cub a year later, who has since become head of his pack, and this video tells the story of what happened next.

I’ve been unlucky enough to have been in quite a few tornadoes, growing up in Kentucky. I even watched one while sitting on the runway in an airplane in Miami, waiting to take off. It’s truly remarkable to consider how powerful Mother Nature can be, and how infinitesimal we humans are when she gets angry.
