This is a sweet lil clip that has just gone live.. “Here’s the first look at the upcoming CSI: NY Second Life virtual experience. Don’t miss the episode everyone is talking about on Wednesday, Octob… ” bla bla.. anyway.. if you’ve never heard of Second Life.. Well, it’s making history already.
It may be a sign that they are running out of ideas when the producers of BSG have to turn to old SNL episodes for inspiration. Maybe this is why the SciFi channel moved the show to Sunday nights.
Background: Recently Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report on Comedy Central issued a challenge to his viewers. He taped himself in front of a green screen dorking out al la the Star Wars kid. He then challenged his viewers to take his video and work their editting magic. Last week, he announced the two finalists. The winner is here. The other finalist was “George L.” His work is above.
You can find more Colbert Green Screen submissions on YouTube.com.
This one has to be my favorite.
This one is good too - Colbert vs a Radioactive Martina Hingis.
Robocop versus Terminator
I hestitate to post this for two reasons. One, it has already generated more than 160,000 clicks. Two, it’s obviously done by a professional with an “in” in the studios. But apparently it was posted just this week and is incredibly well put together. This is the best mashup I’ve seen yet on youtube, even better than Neo versus Robocop. There’s a great cameo in this one as well.
Star Wars trailer featuring Harrison Ford
Here’s your mystery for the day.
Above is what is described as a trailer for The Empire Strikes Back with Harrison Ford hamming it up on the voice over. It appears to be a genuine trailer, with the music and images appearing to mesh with no slips and the quality certainly appearing dated. But is that Harrison Ford? On a few lines it does indeed sound like him, but overall … I don’t know. Maybe they tricked his voice out a bit so it wouldn’t sound too much like him. Remember, this is Ford in all his raw zeal back in the late 70s/early 80s. You’d expect him to sound a bit different.
So what do you think? Ford or no Ford?
